XIN Center of Tsinghua University

Tsinghua University and Tel Aviv University jointly established the XIN Center in 2014 with the support of Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong.

What is the meaning of “XIN”? X=Cross; IN=Innovation.

The two universities agree to harness their scientific research capabilities and leadership positions in education in their respective countries to build a transnational interdisciplinary innovation platform for technology transfer and innovator training.

Since its establishment, the XIN Center has gathered many top researchers, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to achieve progress in platform building, promoting technology transfer, and training new talent. The XIN Center has built partnerships with institutions, enterprises and governments, both regionally and internationally.

In March 2016, the XIN Center, as secretariat of the China-Israel 7+7 Research University Alliance, successfully held the Inaugural Forum of Presidents of Israel-China Higher Education Institutions, which created an open platform for cooperation and exchange between two countries.
